We call on 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, former Governor Peter Obi, to call his aides to order.
Peter Obi’s inability to put the leash on his aides has led to his aides and supporters acting out of control and insulting almost anybody and almost everybody.
Mr Peter Obi’s body-language and the actions of his aides and his supporters are fast-becoming a threat to our democracy. Mr Peter Obi’s body-language is fueling a fascist movement among his aides and his supporters as they abuse anybody and everybody now.
This is not how democracy is supposed to be. Democracy is supposed to be an environment where people can freely disagree on opinions. But right now, anybody who disagrees with Peter Obi is automatically being subjected to loads of insults and abused by his aides and his supporters.
Democracy is at risk as of today because of the conducts of the Peter Obi’s aides and his supporters.

We call on the Nigerian Government and law enforcement agencies to nip in the bud these rising tendencies by Peter Obi’s aides and his supporters that pose a direct threat to our democracy that is still in infant stage.
People should be able to disagree politically without insults being introduced into the conversation. That has not been possible by Peter Obi’s aides and his supporters who have made it a business trademark of theirs to be throwing insults at anyone and everyone who dates to disagree with Peter Obi.
This is not good for democracy and this is definitely not good for his image as someone who wants to someday lead this nation.
While we hope Mr Peter Obi will take this seriously, we call on security agencies to be on high alert lest Peter Obi’s aides and his supporters will set Nigeria on fire even before the next Presidential election.
