Since the day Ganduje asked me to speak with the FCT minister, I knew I would have issues—Emeka Beke

Emeka Beke, the embattled chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has given his take on the internal wrangling existing in the party.

The tussle in the APC surfaced after the Rivers State High Court sacked the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, led by Tony Okocha, and reinstated Emeka Beke as the authentic chairman of the APC in Rivers State.

However, during an interview with Channels Television, Emeka Beke stated that the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is responsible for his chairmanship ordeal.

He maintained that the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdulahi Ganduje, had once asked him to speak with the FCT minister, which he declined since the former governor is not an APC member.

According to the video, “The day I knew I would have issues was when the national chairman of the party called me that he wants me to speak with the minister of FCT, and I told him clearly that he is not a member of my party.”.
