Femi Otedola Shares Rare Photo With Mike Adenuga In Monaco, Hails Him As ‘Chairman Of Chairmen’

Billionaire businessman and Chairman of First HoldCo Plc, Femi Otedola, has shared rare photographs of Globacom founder, Mike Adenuga Jr., during a meeting between the two business leaders in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Otedola shared the photographs on Friday, September 25, 2026, accompanied by a tribute in which he described Adenuga as the “Chairman of Chairmen.”

In the post, Otedola referred to Adenuga by his full name, Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga Jr., while highlighting some of his national and international honours, including Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), Commandeur de la Légion d’honneur and Companion of the Order of the Star of Ghana.

The photographs have drawn attention largely because of Adenuga’s famously private public profile. The Globacom founder rarely appears in public photographs or at major social events, making the Monaco encounter an unusual public sighting of the businessman.

The latest meeting also underscores the longstanding relationship between the two businessmen. In April 2026, Otedola celebrated Adenuga’s 73rd birthday with a throwback photograph and recalled that Adenuga had told him more than two decades earlier that he would become a great man.

Adenuga, who founded Globacom and is chairman of Conoil, has built business interests spanning telecommunications, oil and gas and other sectors. Otedola, meanwhile, serves as chairman of First HoldCo Plc and remains one of Nigeria’s prominent investors.

The Monaco photographs provide another glimpse into the relationship between two generations of Nigerian business leaders whose careers have had a significant presence in the country’s corporate landscape.
