Suspected bandits raided Chibok hamlet in Borno State on Friday evening, killing three civilians and setting fire to many homes.
According to NEWS DIRECT, bandits first raided the Chibok village in April 2014, kidnapping around 200 Chibok girls from a boarding school and razing many homes.
Several of the kidnapped Chibok girls were released after a few months, but Leah Shuaibu was apparently denied freedom owing to her Christian faith.
However, following the first invasion, the militants have attacked the community on multiple occasions.
They assaulted the community again on January 14, 2020, about 4 p.m., killing three people.
Hundreds of ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists invaded the neighborhood, firing intermittently, according to a local resident and lecturer at the College of Education, Dr. Shuaibu Musa, who informed DAILY POST on Saturday morning.

“The insurgents stormed the Chibok community with five utility vehicles, mounted with anti-aircraft guns and moved without any resistance; they started shooting sporadically. Many residents ran for safety, while the shooting continued,” he said.
Three of those who attempted to flee were hit by gunfire and died instantaneously, according to him. Several residences and properties were also set ablaze by the criminals.
He claimed the insurgents assaulted Kautikari village near Chibok town around 4 p.m., firing indiscriminately and torching many homes.
They spent around two hours in the village, according to him, wandering from house to house.
