Terrorists Invade Taraba Mosque, Kill Worshipper, Abduct Businessman, Son
Ten terrorists allegedly stormed a mosque in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, on Thursday night.
A Muslim worshiper was killed and a businessman and his son were kidnapped when the attackers broke into the mosque at Jalo Junction in the Saminaka neighborhood of the Jalingo metropolis during Magrib prayers.
According to the Daily Trust, the businessman’s kid is a secondary school student.
As of the time this report was filed, DSP Usman Abdullahi, the Taraba police command’s spokesperson, could not be reached for comment.
News Direct had also reported how at least 19 persons, six local vigilante members were killed after terrorists invaded Karekuka village, Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State in August 2022.
Seven personnel of the Nigerian Army were equally killed by suspected terrorists in the Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The soldiers were killed by terrorists in a forest around the Amdami area in Karim Lamido in June when they were on patrol within the area.
A serving lawmaker representing Taraba South Senatorial District, Emmanuel Bwacha (APC), had also narrated how over 40 persons were killed during the Sallah break by terrorists in the southern part of Taraba State.
He said the assailants entered his constituency with motorbikes, popularly known as Okada, and killed the people, including the soldiers and police officers mobilised to avert the attack.
Another lawmaker who corroborated this information at the plenary was a member representing Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency of Taraba State in the House of Representatives, Danjuma Shiddi.
Shiddi said the village was razed by the rampaging bandits who maimed and displaced hundreds of locals.
He said communities in Takum had come under heavy attacks by bandits, the latest being the Tuesday attack on Tati village during which the six soldiers and a policeman were killed.
