Police, Investors, Invade Wale Jana’s Office, Seize His Properties
The Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Scent, Adewale Aladejana, commonly known as Wale Jana, has lost properties worth millions of naira to intruders who broke into his Lekki office a few days ago. Ten men, accompanied by three police officers, stormed his office.
They removed various valuables as well as perfume that was on display for sale. Investors who had yet to receive their return on investment and funds from his investment program were among those who made off with his assets.
The controversial businessman is apparently broke, and he has yet to fulfill a promise he made last year to return to investors all of the money invested in his company.
Last year, a number of investors and distributors relentlessly pursued him for their dues, with many resorting to social media to accuse him of failing to deliver on his promises and withholding funds.
Segun Awosanya, commonly known as Segalink, a well-known social media activist, jumped in after numerous investors requested him to. Wale, he claims, did not cheat his investors on purpose, but rather because he lacked exit strategies. He did, however, offer to assist the investors in recouping their funds.
Wale Jana apologized to his investors on social media in an attempt to make peace with the feuding parties. He blamed his business troubles on bad decision-making and poor business strategy. He also pledged to repay their money and requested that his investors give him time to fulfill his commitment.
