NYSC Wants Permanent Camp In Lagos

Mr Eddy Megwa, the Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youths Service Corps, has urged the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to begin work on the orientation camp.

Megwa claimed that 2,245 corps members were sent to Lagos, with 969 males and 1,227 females, during the swearing-in of the 2022 Batch A Stream 1 corps members.

He claimed that the camp’s capacity was no longer sufficient to accommodate the large number of corps members who were always assigned to the Lagos orientation camp.

He said, “We are pleading to the Lagos State Governor to commence the construction of our camp so that we can have a bigger camp.

“Due to the inadequacy of space at our current camp, we have had to deploy some prospective corps members to Oyo and Osun States.”

He encouraged the corps members to adhere to the oath of allegiance, be committed, resilience, determined and be ready to serve the nation.
