FCT PDP Chairman Dies On Election Day
Mr. Sunday Zaka, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) leader in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has passed away.
According to Daily Trust, Mr. Zaka died in an automobile accident in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday.
The collision happened around 2 am along the Guda-Arena road in Kuje town, according to Bawa Benjamin, a close friend of the dead who confirmed the occurrence over the phone.
He claimed that while returning home from the party’s behind-closed-doors meeting in Abuja, the deceased lost control of his Peugeot and slammed into a tree.
He claimed that after being taken urgently to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada, the victim was declared dead by medical personnel.
The chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, also confirmed the FCT PDP chairman’s death.
