Faulty Air Conditioner In Ismail Haniyeh’s Room In Iran Almost Saved Him From Being Assassinated

A new report on the elimination of a former leader of a Palestine-based terrorist group, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, the Capital of Iran, in late July, 2024, has revealed that an air conditioner that developed a fault in his room almost thwarted Israel’s efforts at accomplishing the mission.

According to The Times of Israel, the assassination of Haniyeh nearly went awry as a result of a faulty air conditioner in his room.

The report stated that the broken air conditioning unit nearly scuttled his July 31 assassination by Israel. It was alleged that he was on the verge of changing rooms before staff at the guest house of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran succeeded in fixing it.

The fresh details on the operation were allegedly revealed days after the Defence Minister of Israel, Israel Katz, became the first senior official to confirm that the Zionist State was responsible for it.

It was further made known that Israel decided to eliminate him shortly after October 7, 2023, when he was placed at the top of a list compiled by senior intelligence officials.

Also, the report disclosed that, although, the late Hamas leader lived in Qatar, Israel decided not to terminate him there because it would affect the hostage negotiations that the country has mediated since the beginning of the war.

However, his eventual elimination was said to have been made easier to plan due to his repeatedly checking into the same guest house of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Northern Tehran neighbourhood of Sa’adat Abad.
