FA Cup: Michael Owen predicts outcome of Wolves vs Man United, Swansea vs Man City
Former Premier League and La Liga star, Michael Owen has tipped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United to beat Wolves 2-1 in tonight’s FA Cup fixture.
He also predicted Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to defeat Swansea City 3-0 in today’s FA Cup clash.
Owen told BetVictor: “United lost their unbeaten domestic record under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Emirates on Sunday but they had their opportunities – especially in the opening 45 minutes – and I feel they will edge the tie-of-the-round at Molineux.
“Wolves haven’t reached the last four since 1997-98 and I feel they will have to wait at least another year before they reach the semi-final. Michael’s prediction: 1-2.”
On the Swansea vs Man City game, Owen said: “City have scored at least four goals in their three FA Cup ties so far this season and I can’t see the Swans stopping Pep Guardiola’s side who made serene progress into the quarterfinal of the Champions League midweek against a moderate Schalke side.
“The hosts have lost six of their last seven ties against Premier League opposition and I can’t see them creating what would be a massive Cup shock at the Liberty Stadium. Michael’s prediction: 0-3.”
