COVID-19: Real Madrid New Signing David Alaba Tests Positive
Real Madrid has made a new signing. COVID-19 has been found in David Alaba.
“Real Madrid C. F. confirms that our player David Alaba has tested positive for COVID-19,” read a brief club statement.
Alaba, 28, signed a five-year contract with Real this summer after his contract with Bayern Munich expired.
Alaba’s arrival will assist compensate for the losses of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos. Varane has agreed to join Manchester United, while Ramos has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain.
After a negative test, Alaba will be permitted to resume pre-season training with his club teammates.
