Biafra: Court Told To Sack DSS Director-General Over Nnamdi Kanu
HURIWA, the Nigerian Human Rights Writers Association, has petitioned the Federal High Court in Abuja to imprison the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS.
The call came after a court judgment that was designed to allow Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to be as comfortable as possible while in detention.
The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako, who issued the judgment on Thursday, also ordered the DSS to grant the Biafra agitator a change of clothes, medical attention, and the freedom to practice his religion.
“The rule of law must be observed in all our dealings and we must impress it on the governments at all levels to actively toe the path,” HURIWA said.
“The right of every citizen against any form of oppression and impunity must be jealously guarded and protected with the legal tools at our disposal.
“All binding court orders must be obeyed. Nobody, irrespective of his or her position, will be allowed to toy with court judgments.
Exposed!! Popular Abuja doctor revealed how men can naturally and permanently cure poor erection, quick ejaculation, small and shameful manhood without side effects. Even if you are hypertensive or diabetic . Stop the use of hard drugs for sex!! It kills!
“Violation of a court order is serious, and you could find yourself paying dearly. Committing contempt can include both civil and criminal penalties, such as fines, attorney fees, reduced custody time, and even jail.
“The continuous refusal of the DSS to abide by the rules of the court is regarded as simply as CONTEMPT OF COURT
HURIWA strongly canvassed that the court does the needful by sending the head of the DSS to jail for treating the order of the Competent court of law with contempt and absolute disrespect.
