There was hasty transfer of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria, but FG wants to follow due process in Abba Kyari’s case – Falana
Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has alleged that the Federal Government sought for hasty extradition of Sunday Adeyemo from Benin Republic to Nigeria just like leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra) Nnamdi Kanu, but now following due process in embattled police officer, Abba Kyari’s case.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba on Tuesday August 10, Falana alleged that the federal government also sent an aircraft for extradition of Igboho to Abuja but this was stopped by the government of President Patrice Talon which insisted on following the legal procedure.
According to the Senior Lawyer, there are too many injustices in Nigeria and this is not good.
Falana said;
“The Benin government made its Nigerian counterpart understand that the country is not lawless. They insisted on following the legal procedure and said without going to court, we can’t hand over Igboho to you.
“This is how it should be under the law; the judge will scrutinise Nigeria’s extradition request from Cotonou to Abuja. That is what the laws say in Benin Republic, that is what the laws also say in Nigeria.
Exposed!! Popular Abuja doctor revealed how men can naturally and permanently cure poor erection, quick ejaculation, small and shameful manhood without side effects. Even if you are hypertensive or diabetic . Stop the use of hard drugs for sex!! It kills!
“That was why I criticised the hasty transfer of (the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra), Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria. Now, the Federal Government wants Abba Kyari to go to court before he is transferred to the United States. And this is what the government should have done in the case of Kanu.
“There are too many injustices in Nigeria and this is not good.”
Nigeria situation this time is hard to comment bcos one is not safe anymore to criticize things as they are. Too much negativity going on in the country..
My dear esteem barrister,
Abba kyari despite been implicated in money laundering has not called for the elimination of the ZOO republic citizens.the comparison is way out of target
