Strike Called Off As FG, ASUU Reach Agreement
The Academic Staff Union of Universities’ approaching strike has been called off after the union and the federal government struck an agreement.

The Speaker had stated that he would convene a conference between ASUU and the Federal Government to address the problem.
The government decided to release N22.17 billion for earned allowance and N30 billion for university revitalization at the meeting.
The Finance Minister stated that N20 billion has been released for revitalisation while announcing the government’s commitment. She stated that the N10 billion balance would be released by the following week.
ASUU criticized the operation of IPPIS in addition to the two points that were agreed upon. According to the union’s president, some members are owed a 15-month wage.
