School Abduction: We Kidnap 121 Students In Kaduna – Bandits

The abductors of 121 pupils from Bethel Baptist Church High School in Kaduna called the school’s administration yesterday to inform them that they were in custody.

The bandits also assured the administration that the students were in good health.

On Tuesday, NEWS DORECT reported that robbers invaded a boarding school along the Kaduna-Kachia route and abducted an undetermined number of kids.

Two soldiers were also claimed to have been slain in a shootout with the criminals.

Rev. Yahaya Adamu Jangado, President of the Baptist Conference and Proprietor of Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna, revealed this to journalists on Tuesday.

They also spoke with the students in captivity, who confirmed the number given by the criminals, according to him.

The school has a MUI population of 154 students in the dormitories, according to Reverend Jagado, and 28 were recovered during the operation.

“By the grace of God, we received a call from the bandits today (Tuesday), and they told us that our children are safe and sound.

“We even had the opportunity to speak with a couple of them. There counted themselves in the jungle and told us that they are 121, and when we put that number together with what we found, we realized that it is precisely the same as the number of students at the hostel,” he explained.

He claimed that the management called the parents to thank them for their patience, understanding, and calm, and to ask for their help during this difficult time.

He stated that they informed the parents that they would do everything necessary to return the children.

At a meeting, the management informed the government of the development.

The government is also claimed to have pledged to do all in its power to save the students.
