Rivers: If The NWC Recognizes Wike As The Leader Of Rivers PDP; The Congress Is A Success -Dan Ulasi

In an interview with Arise News, Dan Ulasi, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, provided insight into the circumstances surrounding Minister Nyesom Wike’s recognition as the PDP leader in Rivers State.

Ulasi revealed that the National Working Committee’s recognition of Wike was conditional upon their ability to access and engage with Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who has been preparing to run for election under a different party. Ulasi suggested that the Governor’s inaccessibility contributed to the National Working Committee’s decision to recognize Wike instead.

In his words;

“If the National Working Committee recognizes him(Wike) as Leader of PDP in Rivers for whatever reason, we call the congress a success.You have to look who the National Working Committee are supporting. Have they been able to reach the Governor (Siminalayi Fubara) last week I was in Abuja and I discussed with the highest level of the party and they said the Governor has not given them access to discuss with him. The Governor is preparing for an election to use another party to run for that election. The party at the National Level knows that. The Local Government elections. If he had make Himself accessible to the National Working Committee, they probably would have recognized him”
