President Buhari Mourns Death Of Sound Sultan
On the death of Olanrewaju Fasasi, also known as Sound Sultan, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolences to the Fasasi family.
Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, issued a statement on Monday mourning the 44-year-old singer’s death.
Sound Sultan’s demise, according to the Nigerian leader, was a loss for both the music industry and Nigeria.
Buhari said the rapper, singer, songwriter and actor, “lived an exemplary life and achieved several milestones in his career”.
The President stated that his artistic genius, originality, and talent, which has inspired many, contributed significantly to the development of music and entertainment.
Sound Suntan, he said, was compassionate, giving, and passionately concerned about challenges in the country, as evidenced by his music and art.
