Oyetola Congratulates Sultan On 15th Coronation Anniversary
Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, on the occasion of his 15th anniversary of ascension to the throne.
He equally lauded the Sultan for providing quality leadership for the people of Sokoto in particular and the Muslim Ummah in general for the past 15 years, noting that the monarch had facilitated more progress and development for Sokoto and his subjects.
Oyetola also said the Sultan had used his position as Amirul Mumineen to bridge the gap and strengthen the unity between Northern and Southern Muslims in Nigeria, describing him as a peacemaker and bridge builder.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, in Osogbo, on Tuesday, the Governor also commended the Muslim leader for his concern and dedication to the welfare of Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, saying that the Sultan’s love for good governance and justice stands him out as a purposeful, responsible and responsive leader.
He also commended the monarch for his leadership style, firm stand on religious tolerance and commitment to the peace and unity of Nigeria.
Oyetola said: “On behalf of my family, government and the good people of Osun, I join family, friends, associates, sons and daughters of Sokoto and the entire Muslim Ummah in Nigeria to felicitate the Sultan, His Eminence, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, as he marks his 15th anniversary on the throne.
