NUT Condemns Kidnap Of Abuja School Vice Principal

The kidnapping of the vice principal of the Junior Secondary School, Yebu, in the Kwali Area Council of Abuja has been criticized by the National Union of Teachers.

Dr Mike Ene, the National Secretary General of the National Union of Teachers, condemned the attack and urged on the government to make Nuhu’s release easier in an interview with our correspondent.

Ene said, “We condemn this attack and it is so sad to hear that our teachers are no longer safe. We call on the government to please rescue Mr Muhammed Nuhu.”

On Saturday, some unidentified gunmen invaded the school’s staff quarters and kidnapped the vice principal, Muhammed Nuhu.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the kidnappers who arrived in huge numbers shot indiscriminately before escaping with the vice principal.

It was also mentioned that the security guards stationed at the gate were bound to make operations easier.

“The assailants have not reached out for any ransom,” the source added.

Attempts to contact Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT police command, were unsuccessful because she had not responded to our enquiries as of the time of reporting this article.
