Ned Nwoko Reveals Why Marrying More Than One Wife Is Saving The Economy

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko, has clarified why he has more than one wife and prefers to marry young women.

In an interview with BBC Igbo, the billionaire politician explained why he chose polygamy for economic reasons. He claims that the average northerner has at least two wives, which he claims benefits society by preventing promiscuity among women.

“By marrying two, three, or four women, the average Northerner is supporting society because the economic downturn has impacted so many women that you see doing prostitution and other things.

But the fallacy of it all is that Christianity forbids it in the South, but the average Southern man has ten girlfriends,” he said, adding that northerners’ polygamist nature has helped them rise in population and become the majority.

Nwoko also bemoaned how the Enlightenment promoted monogamy, despite the fact that it is not our custom. “I love my culture the way it is, not the way they are attempting to dilute it. Igbo culture is great and should continue to be promoted as it has been.

But even if you look at the population in Nigeria and what I’ll call the marriage economy, an Igbo man with one wife and four children, a Northerner with four wives and five children each, imagine the population of the Northerners in the next ten, twenty years.”
