Jigawa LG Reopens Schools After Cholera Outbreak
Jigawa State’s Guri Local Government has restored schools that had been closed owing to a cholera outbreak in the area.
Alhaji Sale Tata Alanjo, the Education Secretary, made the announcement while answering questions from reporters.
He said that the Education Authority had ordered the reopening of six schools that had been closed due to a cholera outbreak.
Madamuwa, Zugo, Lafiya, Dolen Zugo primary schools, junior and senior secondary schools Lafiya are among the impacted primary and junior secondary institutions, according to Alanjo.
The directions, he added, came after the sickness was successfully eradicated in the four communities where the epidemic was detected.
Parents, on the other hand, should make sure that their children return to school.

He praised the state, local governments, and development partners for supplying drugs to stop the sickness from spreading.
According to reports, the Jigawa State Ministry of Health acknowledged the deaths of over 100 people in the state’s nineteen local government areas due to a cholera outbreak.
