Insecurity In Nigeria Is Reducing — Ali Ndume

Senator Ali Ndume, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, said on Friday that insecurity in the country is decreasing, with the goal of eliminating it totally.

Ndume, who represents Borno South, made the remarks while fielding questions from reporters following the turbaning of Malam Saliu Mustapha, an APC national chairmanship aspirant, as the next Turaki of Ilorin today.

He said, “Insecurity is going down, it’s not eliminated. Normally, this kind of a thing is not something that you will just say it is all over.”

Ndume stated that Nigeria’s federal government is doing well and is doing its best to address the problem of insecurity.

Mustapha expressed his gratitude for being recognized following his turbaning, saying that the honor will motivate him to do more to his community.

Mustapha expressed gratitude for the honor to members of the Ilorin Emirate and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, his deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, and Deputy Governor Edward Onoja of Kogi were among the dignitaries who attended the horse ride and cultural exhibition, according to NAN.
