Gov Buni Commends Citizens For Donating To Education Trust Fund.
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has praised residents for contributing to the State Education Trust Fund.
According to a statement issued by his spokesman, he gave the commendation on Saturday when he received members of the Yobe State Education Trust Fund.
The Governor said it is “heartwarming that the good people of the state share our vision and mission to change the face of education in the state.”
“These contributions would not doubt complement government efforts in addressing the problems of education in the state”, Buni said.
The Governor commended the board members of the Yobe State Education Trust Fund for accepting to serve the state while assuring of his administration’s commitment to providing qualitative education in the state.
He also assured that the fund will be used to achieve the set targets to advance the cause of education in the state, appealing to all stakeholders to support the board to achieve the set targets.

Chairman of the fund, Engr. Mohammed Abubakar, who spoke on behalf of the members, commended Buni for the foresight of his administration to drastically change the standard of education in the state.
“This is a foresight that has a great impact on the future of the state and the people.
“We appreciate you for finding us worthy of this trust and assignment.
“l assure you we will give our best to contribute to your good efforts of developing education in the state”, the chairman assured.
Recall that the Yobe State Government had recently constituted a Board of Trustees for the State’s Education Trust Fund (YETFUND).
The Board is to, among other things, receive, execute and account for all donations as well as partner to ensure effective and judicious administration of the fund in reviving the education sector in the state.
