FRSC Vows To Impound Vehicles With Unregistered Number Plates
From Monday, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) will begin impounding vehicles and motorcycles that have unregistered or unapproved number plates on the road.
The operation would be carried out in collaboration with sister security services, according to Ahmed Umar, the Ogun State Sector Commander.
“Pursuant to the primary role played by the FRSC in advancing national security through rigorous intelligence, it has been observed that many motorists go about with unauthorised or unregistered vehicles.
“Therefore there will be a joint special enforcement with the police, the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps and the Vehicles Inspection Office to checkmate erring motorists,’’ he stated.
Mr Umar enjoined motorists and motorcycle operators to always go through appropriate authorities to register their vehicles.
