Salihu Lukman, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asked that those who are attempting to derail the February 26 convention be sanctioned.
In a statement released on Sunday, the former Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) made the call.
In recent months, Lukman has been vocal in his opposition to the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).
He asked the party to return to a time when internal debates, compromises, and accords were held in high regard.
The APC has sunk, according to Lukman, because President Muhammadu Buhari does not meddle in politics.
Some leaders, according to the member, have abused the president’s and the majority of the party’s trust.
Exposed!! Popular Abuja doctor revealed how men can naturally and permanently cure poor erection, quick ejaculation, small and shameful manhood without side effects. Even if you are hypertensive or diabetic . Stop the use of hard drugs for sex!! It kills!
“This has harmed the APC’s profile to the point where it is difficult to identify the APC with its founding objective of change, based on the behaviour of its leaders and some elected representatives.”
He denounced bigotry and the way certain stalwarts want members to be obedient despite their misgivings.
Lukman stated that the present APC is not the same as the one that was in power from 2013 to 2015.
Outside of President Buhari, according to the ex-DG, there are just a few elected leaders who are still devoted to the transformation mantra.
The statement urged the party to insist on creating officeholders who are tolerant of differing viewpoints and willing to accommodate them.
