Former Premier League star Rio Ferdinand has slammed the club over their decision to sell five players.
The former England international pointed out that the Red Devils made a mistake by allowing the likes of Jonny Evans, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck to leave Old Trafford.
Recall that the Red Devils hierarchy had sold Evans in a £6million deal to West Brom in 2015, while Hernandez ended up joining Real Madrid on a season-long loan in 2014.
Welbeck was also allowed to join Arsenal in 2014 under Louis van Gaal.
“One of the big things they messed up on… they sold the Da Silva twins, they sold Welbeck, they sold Chicharito, Jonny Evans, all in a short space of time,” Ferdinand said on Vibe With Five.
