DSS Mobilises Thugs To Attack Sowore Again During Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial, Damages His Car
Armed thugs recruited by Nigeria’s secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS), attacked Omoyele Sowore, a human rights campaigner, as he left the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, Sowore went to the court to attend an emergency hearing in a case involving Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).
The Nigerian government is holding Kanu on terrorism accusations.

While Sowore was in court, a big group of armed thugs surrounded the area, waiting for him to leave.
The thugs raced towards him as soon as they saw him and began hurling stones at the activist and his group.
Today again, the DSS mobilised thugs to attack and kill me for attending Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s farcical trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja. They came well prepared, however, we can’t be deterred. The struggle continues.#Revolutionnow #BuhariMustGo #FreeNnamdiKanuNow pic.twitter.com/RaSbIUgi6b

As he drove away from the courthouse, the thugs pelted his car with more stones, shattering the front and rear side windows.
Some of the hired hoodlums were overheard ordering others to pursue the vehicle and make sure the activist was apprehended.
The DSS has been mobilizing thugs to go after Sowore for a while now, and Thursday’s attack is just the latest in a long sequence of incidents.
On November 9, the DSS enlisted the help of roughly 20 thugs to attack Sowore when he was attending Kanu’s trial in the same court.
On the morning of that day, some DSS officers met with the hoodlums to brief them on how to carry out the attack on the activist, according to an insider.
After being denied access by policemen during Kanu’s trial, the DSS collaborated with thugs to attack Sowore in front of the same court in October of this year.
The protester was rescued from his attackers, who came at the scene in automobiles, thanks to the involvement of some journalists monitoring the event.
Following Thursday’s incident, the activist’s whereabouts were still unknown at the time of reporting this article.
