Drama As Biden Vows Not To Save His Son After He Was Convicted, Reveals His Plan

At a G7 summit press conference in Italy on Thursday, US President Joe Biden declared he will not pardon his son, Hunter Biden, following his recent conviction on federal gun charges.

The President stressed his commitment to respecting the judicial process and refraining from intervening in his son’s legal issues.

Hunter Biden, 54, was convicted earlier this week on three felony counts connected to his purchase of a handgun in 2018 during a period when he was struggling with crack cocaine addiction. Although he could face up to 25 years in prison based on sentencing guidelines, jail time is unlikely due to his status as a first-time offender.

President Biden expressed pride in his son’s efforts to overcome addiction, calling Hunter one of the “brightest, most decent men” he knows. Despite his personal feelings, Biden affirmed, “I said I’d abide by the jury decision. I will do that. I will not pardon him,” underscoring his dedication to maintaining the judicial system’s integrity.

This development adds complexity to President Biden’s re-election campaign, particularly as it coincides with legal issues faced by his political rival, Donald Trump. Trump was recently convicted of election law violations related to hush money payments, making him the first former president to be convicted of a felony.
