Crypto Giant FTX, Reaches Out To Pre-Tertiary Institutions of Learning

Africa’s most popular cryptocurrency exchange FTX, has been in the news on a regular for some time now; all as a result of churning out one innovative idea or the other. While many will attribute this to marketing tactics, a little known aspect of the company is its charity stance. One of its mantra is that the company was founded with the goal of having the largest possible positive impact on the world.

In reality, the FTX Africa team is living up to this goal. Just recently, FTX launched an educational charity outreach in Nigeria. The outreach event started as a series of school visitation as well as intervention across the country to both primary and secondary institutions of learning. FTX hopes to help create a conducive environment for learning while also emphasising the need for pupils to value education.

According to the Business Development Manager for FTX in Africa, Adebayo Juwon, “We are strong believers in education, and we have been actively collaborating and engaging in dialogue with players in the ecosystem.” Hence, the company is taking a stronger approach to further affirm its willingness to uphold its mantra as a platform for the people by fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.

The cryptocurrency exchange giant is leveraging on this to help provide services beneficial to a number of formative educational institutions. Some of the beneficiary schools so far include; Aguda Junior Secondary school, Makoko floating school, Alimosho Junior Grammer School, Istrina School in Ajegunle, Tomvic School in Mushin as well as Alagbado Junior Grammer school.
In all the schools visited so far, the FTX team has been able to donate writing and learning materials such as books, boards, textbooks, fans, mathematical sets, calculators as well as sitting facilities among others to the pupils as well as staffs present in such schools. In the comming months, this outreach is expected to spread to other parts of Nigeria; thereby touching more lives and improving on the quality of education delivered.
