The police have detained the father and mother of a one-month-old infant for allegedly selling their child to another woman for N50,000.
The couple was apprehended on Thursday in the Ilara neighborhood of Ode Remo, in Ogun State’s Remo North Local Government Area.

As a result, CSP Olayemi Fagbohun, the DPO of Ode Remo, was alleged to have dispatched his detectives to the location and had the suspects apprehended.
During questioning, Oyeyemi revealed that the suspects admitted that on December 14, “one Mrs Ruth Obajimi sent the yet-to-be-identified customer to them.”
“They stated further that the woman told them that she is from the human rights office and that she will help them to foster their child.
