BREAKING: Tribunal: Action Alliance Withdraws Petition Against Tinubu
The Action Alliance has withdrawn its petition against the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The party confirmed the development at the commencement of the pre-hearing of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Monday in Abuja.
No reason was given for the withdrawal.
The party has been involved in controversy surrounding the identity of its presidential candidate.
The Federal High Court Abuja in November last year, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove Hamza Al-Mustapha’s name as the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) for the 2023 general elections.

The judge invalidated all the lists of nominees, including Mr Al-Mustapha’s name, submitted to INEC by a factional leader of the party, Kenneth Udeze.
A faction of the party had pushed for the emergence of Solomon-David Okanigbuan as the party’s presidential candidate.
