BREAKING: Supreme Court Fixes Date To Deliver Judgment In Peter Obi, Atiku Cases Against Tinubu
The Supreme Court has announced that it will on Thursday, October 26 deliver its judgment on the appeals filed by the presidential candidates of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.
The appeals challenge the result of the February 25 election, which led to the victory of President Bola Tinubu.
The Director of Information of the Supreme Court, Dr. Festus Akande, confirmed the date on Wednesday. Both the PDP and LP presented their cases before the apex court on Monday. However, the appeal of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and its presidential candidate, Chichi Ojei, was dismissed after they withdrew it.
Previously, the Presidential Election Petitions Court had dismissed the petitions of both parties on September 6, citing a lack of evidence. However, Obi and Atiku filed appeals challenging this decision.
