Due to accusations of fraud and embezzlement, Wale Adeniran, the founder and chairman of the Yoruba Self-Determination fight, also known as Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, has resigned from the organization.
In a video that was uploaded to YouTube (Omoboriowo media) on Saturday, Adeniran said that he stepped aside to allow for a full investigation into the fraud claim made against him.
He urged everyone who had information against him to come forward and make it public, as well as anyone who had donated to the group through him.
Adeniran called on Yoruba elders to form a committee and stated that he left the IOOW in order to allow for a full probe.
He said, “I want to use this medium to step aside as Chairman of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, as member of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, I step down as the participant in the Yoruba Nation struggle so as to allow for unfettered investigations of all these allegations.
