BREAKING: Nigerian Government Orders Reopening Of Obajana Cement Factory In Kogi Amid Billionaire Businessman Dangote, Governor Bello’s Crisis
The Obajana Cement Factory in Kogi State will reopen as according to an order from the Nigerian government.
The government also recommended that all legal action be taken to address any disputed matters.
This occurs shortly after the presidency stepped in to regain control of the conflict between the state government and Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, over possession of the cement factory in Obajana.
Due to an alleged tax violation, vigilantes operating under the directives of the Kogi State government forced the factory to close as a result of the standoff.
Governors Yahaya Bello (Kogi) and Abdullahi Sule, as well as the president of the Dangote Group, attended the meeting called by the federal government (Nasarawa).
NEWS DIRECT had reported that the Kogi state government shut down the Obajana factory over allegations of tax evasion and unresolved ownership.

The management of Dangote Group however said it had concluded plans to approach the court to seek legal redress on the matter.
The Group Managing Director, Dangote Cement Plc, Michel Puchercos in a statement had said, “We reiterate that the Obajana Cement plant is 100% owned by Dangote Cement PLC. In forcefully evicting the workers to enforce the shutdown, the vigilantes shot 27 of our workers and destroyed some of the company’s property at the plant.”
