BREAKING: New COAS, Farouk Yahaya Resumes
On Friday, Major General Farouk Yahaya took over as the nation’s 22nd Chief of Army Staff.
Yahaya was sworn in at the Army Headquarters in Abuja during a ceremony.
When he arrived, he first went to the sentry to view the guard of honour, after which he went to the conference room.
He led others in observing a minute of silence before the start of the program in memory of his late predecessor and ten others who died in a plane tragedy last Friday.
