BREAKING: In Zamfara, Gunmen Abduct College Provost

Habibu Mainasara, the provost of the College of Arts and Animal Science Bakura in Zamfara State, has been kidnapped by armed men suspected of being bandits.

The perpetrators broke into his official residence within Government Science Secondary School, Bakura, in the early hours of Sunday, according to DAILY POST.

The tragedy, which has heightened tensions in the area, occurred just two days after robbers stormed local towns in the state’s Maradun Local Government Area, murdering at least 42 people.

SP Mohammed Shehu, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, said he will call back to remark on the event when called by a DAILY POST correspondent.
