BREAKING: FG Approves Sale Of Crude Oil To Dangote, Others In Naira

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the sale of crude oil to Dangote Refinery and other local refineries in Naira instead of Dollars.

This was announced by Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), during a briefing with State House reporters.

Adedeji also stated that, as per the approval, Dangote and other local refineries are mandated to sell their refined products to marketers for local consumption in Naira.

The federal government and the Dangote refinery have been in the news over some disagreements concerning approval for the refinery and the quality of oil it sells. However, Aliko Dangote, the owner of the refinery insisted that his fuel quality is not only very good but far better than what many dealers import and sell to Nigerians.
