BREAKING: Ekiti House Of Assembly Speaker, Afuye, Is Dead
Funminiyi Afuye, the speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, has passed away.
After being taken to the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) with cardiac-related problems, Afuye passed away on Wednesday night.
In 2019, the Speaker was chosen to serve as the sixth assembly’s Speaker.
He represented Ikere I constituency in the state legislature before his demise.
Afuye served as Commissioner for Information during the first term of former Governor Kayode Fayemi between 2010 and 2014.
