Dr. Nkem Okeke, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Dr. Okeke, who previously served as the Commissioner for Economic Planning in the state of Anambra, was welcomed into the party by President Muhammadu Buhari during a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.
The APC Caretaker Committee Chairman Mai Mala Buni, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, and other party members were also present.
Prior to his defection, Okeke served as the Commissioner for Works and Transport in Governor Peter Obi’s administration in Anambra State.
