Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has declared his candidacy for President in 2023.
On Saturday in Abuja, Bello formally announced his intention to run for President.
His announcement puts an end to rumors about him running for President in 2023.
Senator Jonathan Zwingina, Femi Fani-Kayode, and other prominent Nigerians were present at the event.
Zwingina branded the Presidential candidate as a detribalized Nigerian who leads Kogi with appointees from other states, according to him.
Zwingina emphasized the importance of Bello as President, noting that the “governor removed instability from Kogi, the state would have been a breeding ground for kidnapping and banditry if it hadn’t been for his leadership qualities.”
