10 Nigerians Killed, Several Injured In Multiple Road Crashes

No fewer than 10 persons died in multiple roads crashes in the last 48 hours in Bauchi State. Five people were said to have died in the latest accident, which occurred on Thursday night while three were seriously injured.

Eighteen people were said to have been involved in the crash while the remaining ten were lucky to escape unhurt.

Confirming the accidents to newsmen in Bauchi, the state capital on Friday, Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Yusuf Abdullahi, said the latest accident occurred in Gubi village along Bauchi – Kano road around 7:45 pm.

According to him, a Keke Napep with registration number: BAU 01 WL had a head-on collision with a Sharon commercial bus with registration number plate: KLW 641 ZA.

He said further that the injured persons were taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBU-TH) for treatments adding that the remains of the deceased were deposited in the morgue of the same hospital for identification.
