The PPRO said that an investigation is ongoing.
It was learnt the Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Ishola, had previously hinted that the suspect was sighted close to Alausa Secretariat at about 11pm on Wednesday, which made him to give directives to Alausa Division, headed by CSP Tokunbo Abaniwonda, to look out for and apprehend him.
Tribune Online gathered that Michael had been moving about the Alausa area before his arrest, begging for alms, but was not recognized by anyone due to his dirty looks.

He also attacked his sister, Mary, before running away.
Since then, he had been at large, but there had been manhunt for him by the police command in order to make him face the full wrath of the law.
He was said to be high on drugs which influenced his act.
His late father, Barrister Okhide, aged 60, was said to be the newly elected CDA chairman, Ailegun West, Ejigbo, while the mother, who was 50 years old at the time she was killed, was a matron at Isolo General Hospital.
At the time of the occurrence, residents explained how Michael had attended three private universities with no positive results, as he was expelled as a result of hard drugs.
Before he murdered his parents, they were said to have tried their best to help him become useful, but he ended up terminating their lives.
