PDP Chieftain Accuses Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Fueling Party Crisis
Tukur Adamu, a key figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Adamawa State, has accused Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang of deepening the internal crisis within the party.
Adamu claims that Mutfwang’s refusal to convene a stakeholders’ meeting to address the replacement of former PDP National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, is undermining efforts to restore unity in the party.
Adamu alleges that Governor Mutfwang’s inaction mirrors the divisive tactics of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who has been at the center of the party’s internal conflicts. He argued that Mutfwang’s failure to rally party leaders has further worsened the PDP’s internal challenges.
According to Adamu, Governor Mutfwang has failed to take steps to unite party leaders by not calling a critical stakeholders’ meeting while also alleging that Mutfwang is aligning himself with Governor Wike, who has been accused of using divisive tactics within the PDP.
The party starlet added that the governor’s approach is exacerbating the party’s internal conflicts rather than resolving them.
Adamu called for immediate action to address the concerns within the party. He urged the PDP in the North Central region to hold Mutfwang accountable for the instability, insisting that only by uniting against divisive forces can the party regain its strength.
