FG Appoints Former Kogi Dep Gov. Edward Onoja As PCC Commissioner

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Edward Onoja as the Commissioner of the Public Complaint Commission (PCC).

Onoja will represent the Federal Capital Territory as Commissioner of the PCC.

The Public Complaint Commission, PCC, is an Agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria, which acts as an ombudsman that arbitrate amongst public and private organizations along with individuals to resolve disputes.

The Commission which is headed by a Chief Commissioner spreads across the 36 States of Nigeria and the FCT, also headquartered at the Seat of Power and serves as the apex country’s ombudsman institution.

Onoja, had served as the Chief of Staff to former Governor Yahaya Bello, before he was elevated to the position of Deputy Governor.

He aspired to succeed Governor Bello as Governor of Kogi State, but stepped out of the race days to the primary election of his party, the All Progressives Congress.
